Responsibility towards patients and users

Biotest works in a highly regulated environment in which drug safety and tolerability are of the highest importance. Quality is therefore a primary focus in all phases of research, development and manufacturing of our products, as well as in obtaining the marketing authorisation and sourcing of raw material. Our high safety standards, which exceeds legal regulations, ensure that we meet our own high requirements for quality. Biotest thus applies the strict safety standards of the Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) for obtaining and processing blood plasma.

Responsibility towards our employees

When collecting blood donations, manufacturing and selling our products or working collaboratively with our partners and customers, our employees take responsibility in many different ways. We support them with appropriate training and a comprehensive continuing education programme. Biotest takes its responsibility as an employer seriously. Responsibility for young people - Inventive laboratory 2016 at Biotest

In October 2016, the inventor's laboratory was organised in collaboration with Biotest AG and Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main. 16 graduate students with outstanding school performance in all subjects were given the opportunity to look behind the scenes of a pharmaceutical company.

They were concerned with a self-imposed or a given challenging task at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and had to deal with it experimentally.

The results were presented at a festive event at Biotest. The final presentations were presented to the relatives and invited guests from school, university, business and politics.

Responsibility towards investors

As a publicly held company listed on the stock exchange, we have a responsibility to our shareholders. This includes careful use of financial resources, as well as transparent and timely information about all important developments in the company and its markets.

AEO-certificate

Since October 21, 2011 Biotest AG is the owner of an AEO certificate for the tax law related simplification/safety (AEO F). This permission is called on an international basis with the abbreviation AEO for Authorized Economics Operator. The certification as an AEO F is the highest internationally accepted seal of quality which can be awarded by the tax authorities. It comprises in addition to the safety related conditions of the status AEO S (Safetey) also the status AEO C (tax law related simplifications).
 
With the AEO certification Biotest shows its reliability and trustability and takes benefits from the facilitations within the scope of customs clearance. Also for our customers shows the certificate AEO a clear signal in relation to an accurate and reliable clearing. E.g. checks of sanction lists can be done automatically.
 
The AEO certificate is valid in all EU member countries and temporarily not limited.
