Biotest's sustainability management ensures that Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects are systematically integrated into corporate strategy and management. The goal is transparent, reliable and legally compliant sustainability reporting, as well as the continuous development of sustainable business practices.
ESG requirements are coordinated across the Group and embedded into existing governance, management and decision-making processes. Compliance with relevant regulatory requirements – including CSRD, ESRS, the EU Taxonomy and EUDR – is ensured, as is the consolidated preparation and auditability of ESG data.
As a central interface, sustainability management enables transparent and reliable steering of ESG topics within the company and in dialogue with external stakeholders. It strengthens trust in sustainability reporting, continuously enhances reporting processes, and ensures that regulatory requirements are integrated into corporate governance in a responsible and effective manner. In addition, it supports specialist departments, accompanies the development of key ESG indicators, and provides a robust basis for decision-making in sustainable corporate management.
In 2025, Biotest was assessed for the first time by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for its environmental activities and received a B- rating. The rating underlines the transparency of Biotest’s reporting and its structured approach to environmental and climate-related issues.
